OPENING OF

THE WEST WOOD ACADEMY COURSE

4th APRIL 2009

Golfers have enjoyed playing the championship 18 hole Norwood Course and using the extensive practice facilities for 11 years. The latest addition, which opened on the 4th April 2009, is the West Wood Academy course. This has been developed over the last 2 years and comprises 9 superb PAR3 holes.
Designed by the same USA course designer and past President of the American society of golf course architects, Clyde B. Johnston, it has been constructed to the same high standard and will appeal to all levels of golfer.
Experienced golfers will find the undulating fairways with strategically
placed bunkers and water features, together with the subtle borrows on the
greens (constructed to USGA standards) a challenge and an opportunity to
hone their game to perfection; while beginners will relish practising their
new found skills on a shorter course.
