Now that I'm back to reality - I wanted to extend a HUGE THANK YOU for letting me use Norwood for all my friends.. It was truly fabulous!
The house looked immaculate, and all your staff were super kind and went out of their way to help. it was SUCH a pleasure to enjoy it so effortlessly!
I had the honour of meeting, and thanking, Chef Mark personally - who produced an exquisite dinner - which we were all seriously impressed with - Wow, a real talent there.
And your clear-up ladies were very smiley - and again really willing to help with anything

We first decided to view Norwood Park as a potential wedding venue based on the pictures on the website, and when we first went to visit we weren’t disappointed. The grounds and house are beautifully maintained and the events manager Tracey struck us as extremely professional and accommodating so it was an easy decision to go with them.
In the run-up to the wedding Tracey and the team were so helpful and gave us guidance without ever being pushy, which meant that the decisions we made about how to run the day were completely our own but were also well-informed. No question was ever too stupid: we were novices after all!
On the morning Nigel, his best man, ushers and several of the guests played a round of golf at the park. They were so pleased and surprised to find hot bacon sandwiches waiting for them in the clubhouse and had a brilliant time on the fantastic course. Our ceremony was at 3pm so it was a good start to the day and the timings worked out well.
The ceremony room was beautifully set-up and makes a lovely backdrop to what is really the most important part of the day. It is worth noting that the Newark registrars were also very pleasant and professional.
We used Doug Plews as our wedding photographer who is recommended by Norwood and is the photographer for the all-inclusive packages. He and his partner Tracey were not only highly skilled and knew exactly where the best locations were for photographs, but they also have a great sense of humour and made the whole process really enjoyable.
Norwood were very accommodating when it came to things like special drinks requests for our reception. Kristy really made sure everything ran smoothly on the day and all of the staff were excellent. From experience of other weddings, one thing that often stands out like a sore thumb is that the catering staff are usually young, temporary and inexperienced but that couldn’t be further from the truth here. Everything ran effortlessly, efficiently and like clockwork. The most impressive thing was that the service was so discrete; we did not have to worry about anything at any point during the day as it was all dealt with behind the scenes in a timely fashion.
The food was really outstanding. We did not have a taster session beforehand but there was really no need as it was absolutely delicious and was commented upon by all our guests. It was by far and away the best we have ever had at any large catered event.
Finally – and the thing that really sold Norwood to us – the atmosphere in the Courtyard where we had our evening reception was just amazing. The patio heaters meant that it was warm and welcoming and, unbeknownst to us, candles, lanterns and fairy lights were lit which made the rustic stables really pretty. We were lucky enough to have a brilliant DJ who got almost everyone onto the dancefloor and the fact that all our guests could eat, drink and be merry in the same stunning place meant that the party was fantastic and unforgettable.
We just want to say a huge thank you to Tracey, Kristy and all the staff at Norwood Park for making this the best day of our lives and a wonderful start to our married lives. We cannot recommend this enough as a venue to anybody considering Norwood, so hopefully this will sway those of you still on the fence!

Norwood is such a stunning place, the house and gardens are beautiful and the rooms immaculate. Hello,
We have just got back from our amazing honeymoon in Bali and all we have talked about is the fantastic wedding day we had. Everything was perfect and the weather was luckily as gorgeous as the venue itself. We are both very grateful for all the hard work you have put in leading up to the wedding and on the day too. No job seemed too big or small and everyone has said how relaxing and enjoyable the day was. It has been said by a large number of our day guests that the food was the best they have ever tasted at a wedding and we both agree and the level of service from all the staff was second to none.It is a very cliché thing to say but because of the professionalism and quality from everyone at Norwood Park our wedding day was the best day of our lives. Let’s hope one of our friends gets married their so we can come again.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU from Tom and Rachel for hosting such a wonderful wedding for us at Norwood . We had such a great day and I didn't realise it was possible to feel so relaxed as a bride. Everything was taken care of and just seemed to fall into place which undoubtedly was a result of Tracey, Pirie and Kristy's efforts behind the scene. Our florist, Terri, did a marvellous job of delivering beautiful flowers to the right places at the right times - I didn't have to worry about a thing. So many of our guests commented on the amazing food and that it was the best mass catering food they have ever tasted. Doug did a great job as photographer, ensuring we were all where we were meant to be and was happy to take a good mix of formal and more relaxed photos of us mingling with friends. Norwood is such a beautiful venue for a wedding and having the house for some guests to stay in worked really well. Overall, we thought the Norwood package was really good value for money and would recommend it to anyone getting married in the area.

We wanted to say thank you for all your help towards our wedding on 8th May 2010. We had the most incredible day as did all of our families and friends. Everybody keeps saying how it was one of the best weddings they have been to, our only regret is that we can’t do it all over again! Thanks again for being so welcoming, for your expertise in organising our day and for being so flexible with our requests. You helped to make our day truly special. The food was really perfect and we had many people say afterwards that it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. Norwood was without doubt the perfect place for us, we knew it as soon as we walked in all those months ago and it will always have a special place in our hearts. The day was everything ad more than we could ever have hoped for, please thank all your lovely staff for the time of our lives.

Thank you for helping us have a perfect start to our future together as husband and wife. Since our first appointment at Norwood in 2007 we have received nothing but the best help, advice and genuine best wishes for our wedding day. Nothing has ever been too small a detail. Terri the florist did a fantastic job, the Pesky Alligators were amazing, the food was out of this world and the fireworks were a lovely surprise for guests. All of the staff were lovely. Thank you to Lottie and huge thanks to Pirie. Pirie was the first member of staff we met at Norwood two years ago and the last to wave us off the morning after our wedding. Our bed was soooo comfy and having breakfast with our parents was a nice start to the day. All our guests have commented on the lovely venue, staff and food. Many saying it is the best wedding they have been too. We could be biased but we agree and Norwood was a huge part of the day.

Norwood Park really sells itself as the perfect wedding venue, it is breathtakingly beautiful and so well maintained you can’t not fall in love with it. Having seen lots of other local venues, we were delighted to finally find one that ticked all of the boxes on our list.
What we hadn’t given much thought to at the time was that the people working in these places would play a part in our wedding too. This was one of our most pleasant surprises on finding Norwood (as well as the beautiful and individually decorated bedrooms for our guests). The team made our whole experience amazing right from the early planning stages through to the big day. Nothing was too much trouble for Pirie (our co-ordinator), and we were so pleased to have them all around us on the our day. If there were any issues, we were not aware of them and nor were our guests, who have all told us how lovely they thought the place was and that the food really was of exceptional quality, presentation and all timed to perfection. Of course we completely agree with them!
We cannot recommend Norwood Park highly enough and we have such wonderful memories to look back on, thanks to the friendly professionalism of the wedding co-ordinator Pirie and her colleagues.

We would just like to say a massive thank you to you both for making our special day go so smoothly. Pirie you were there from day one of showing us around the venue up until the special day and you have been amazing, we cannot thank you enough. Im very sad to think we won't be having any contact with you in the near future, not through choice, but it would prove far to expensive to keep getting married :)You both have remained very professional throughout but also very down to earth which made me personally feel relaxed that everything would go as did.
Also thank all of the bar staff for being very efficient, nothing was to much trouble for them. The waiters and waitresses for their acceptional service. A huge Thank you to Marc for delivering one of the most amazing meals we have ever tasted WOW!! and all who was involved in the meal. Everyone commented on how good the food was. Thankyou to the young man who got up at the crack of dawn to feed us the morning after, he was such a gentleman, and I hope there wasn't to much mess to be cleared up.
Words cannot be said of how happy we are has to how the whole day went, there is not one thing we would change about it. I would not hesitate in recommending your venue to others we know, but I will be asking for commission :).
